WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will allow users to access Meta AI directly from their home screens without needing to open the app. This feature was discovered in the recent WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.25.1.27, available on the Google Play Store.
According to WABetaInfo, the Meta AI widget will be integrated with other WhatsApp widgets, giving users the option to place it on their home screens. The new feature aims to improve user convenience and the overall WhatsApp experience by simplifying the process of interacting with Meta AI.
Once the feature is officially launched, users will no longer need to open WhatsApp to use the chatbot. Instead, they will be able to engage with Meta AI directly from the home screen. Users can also capture and share photos with Meta AI and ask it to perform tasks such as photo editing, content analysis, or provide answers to image-related queries.
It’s important to note that the Meta AI widget will only be available to users who already have access to AI-powered chats. Additionally, the feature is being rolled out to specific regions and a select group of users, meaning not all users will have immediate access to this functionality.
