SEOUL/TOKYO — Short-selling will be allowed for all shares on Seoul’s stock market, starting Monday, five years after a ban was imposed, the longest period in the history of the country’s stock market.

The lifting of the ban may help internationalize the South Korean market by getting its shares included in global indexes, but the move has also raised concerns over near-term volatility, particularly among domestic investors.
