SEOUL — South Korea’s Constitutional Court will rule on the impeachment of President Yoon Suk Yeol on Friday, making a final decision on the fate of the disgraced leader who was suspended from his duties over his short-lived declaration of martial law in early December.

If the court upholds the impeachment with the votes of at least six out of eight justices, Yoon will be ousted from office and the nation must elect a new leader within 60 days. If it dismisses the case, Yoon will be reinstated immediately.
