KUALA LUMPUR/SINGAPORE — Southeast Asian nations should seek to minimize the impact of the new U.S. tariffs by deepening intra-regional trade links and strengthening ties with markets such as Europe and India, businesspeople and analysts have advised.
ASEAN members, especially Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand and Indonesia, were among the nations hit hardest by the tariffs imposed by U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday in Washington, early Thursday morning in Asia.
