BENGALURU — Automakers in India have shipped fewer cars to dealers for the second month in a row as stunted wage growth and sticky inflation drag down demand in the world’s third-largest auto market.
The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) said Wednesday that such shipments totaled 329,742 in March, a just under 0.5% decrease from Febru but a 3.7% increase year on year.
