BTS’ Suga, also known as Agust D, has reached a significant milestone with his song “The Last” from his 2016 mixtape Agust D.
On Wednesday, the track reached #1 on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales Chart for the first time, eight years after its initial release. Earlier this year, “The Last” surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify, making Suga the fifth leading Korean artist with the most songs exceeding 100 million streams.
Min Yoon-gi, known professionally as Suga and Agust D, is a South Korean rapper, songwriter, and record producer. His achievement was celebrated widely by the BTS ARMY, the global fanbase of BTS, who expressed their support for the artist’s latest accomplishment.
However, Suga has recently faced legal scrutiny. On August 23, 2023, he appeared for police questioning in connection with a DUI incident involving an electric scooter. Suga expressed deep regret for his actions and apologized to his fans for the distress caused. The Yongsan Police announced plans to forward the case to the prosecutor by the following week.
Recently, BTS ARMY demanded an apology from NCT’s fandom, NCTzen, after a fan was accused of allegedly organizing a fake protest against Suga.
