SHANGHAI/HONG KONG — China is considering excluding some products from its 125% retaliatory tariffs on imports from the U.S., according to the head of the American Chamber of Commerce in China and other sources.
Michael Hart, AmCham’s president, told reporters in an online briefing that China’s Ministry of Commerce has been asking its members about products they import from the U.S. that cannot be substituted through other markets.
