UAE weather update: Blazing heat dominates, light winds may cause dust

The UAE is currently experiencing very hot weather, with temperatures expected to stay high across the country today. According to the National Center of Meteorology, the weather will generally be clear, but people should prepare for intense heat, especially in the inland areas.

Temperatures in these inner regions could reach between 42°C and 46°C. Coastal areas and islands might see temperatures from 39°C to 44°C, while mountain areas will be a bit cooler, ranging from 32°C to 39°C.

Yesterday, the hottest temperature was recorded in Sweihan, Al Ain, where it reached a scorching 46.2°C at noon.

Winds will stay light to moderate but may become stronger at times during the day. These winds, blowing from the southeast to northwest at speeds of 10 to 25 km/h and sometimes reaching up to 35 km/h, could raise some dust, especially in open areas.

The sea will remain calm in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.

People are advised to drink plenty of water and avoid staying in direct sunlight during the hottest parts of the day.
