TOKYO — Japanese trading house Sumitomo Corp. said on Wednesday that it acquired U.S.-based ActivStyle, spending an undisclosed sum on a company that sells home health care products for urin incontinence.
ActivStyle, founded in 1997, provides subscription delivery services for products like adult diapers to patients with urin incontinence. The company partners with about 200 health insurance providers so it can handle insurance claims on behalf of its customers. ActivStyle has over 50,000 U.S. subscribers.
