BISE Lahore: Inter, Matric exams postponed amid India-Pakistan tension

As tensions soared following the milit escalation between Pakistan and India, the spokesperson for the Board of Intermediate and Second Education (BISE) Lahore announced on Wednesday that today’s intermediate and matriculation exams had been postponed.

The BISE spokesperson said that the Inter Part II exams for Islamiyat (elective) and Principles of Accounting, along with the Matric Computer Science practical exam, were scheduled for today but couldn’t take place due to the current situation.

A new date for these postponed exams will be announced later.

This cancellation comes after rising tensions along the Line of Control, following Indian strikes on several areas in Pakistan. The escalation is linked to the recent killing of over two dozen tourists in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. India blamed Pakistan for the ttack, but Islamabad has strongly denied the accusation.

The Pakistan armed forces, in retaliatory strikes, shot down at least five Indian Air Force (IAF) jets, a drone, and destroyed brigade headquarters.
