KARACHI:Aisa largest Cattle Market at Northern Bypass has entered its 26th day, transforming the 1,100-acre livestock hub into a vibrant fairground with the arrival of thousands of sacrificial animals.

Operational since April 17, the  livestock market has become the top choice for traders and citizens alike due to its facilities: each animal receives 30 liters of free water daily, parking fees have been slashed by half, and uninterrupted electricity is being supplied through heavy-duty generators 24/7.

Administrator Shahab Ali, the market’s marshaling area and administrative block are equipped with mobile ATM banks and veterin teams to facilitate both traders and buyers.

A food street set up in front of the Administrator Block is also attracting crowds, allowing visitors to enjoy local delicacies in a peaceful environment.

The livestock continues to arrive around the clock via large trailers and trucks from across Pakistan, including cities and towns in Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Animals from Sibi, Sahiwal, Cholistan, and breeds like Australian, Sindhi cows, bulls, calves, and heifers are now part of the market showcase.

Beautifully patterned camels and premium breeds of goats such as Tapri, Sindhi, and Kamori are in high demand.

The market’s VIP, VVIP, and Sapphire blocks have become a major attraction with their heavy and premium animals.

The various sectors including Sindh, Punjab, KP, Kashmir, and general blocks have already been opened to accommodate traders and buyers.

Administrator Shahab Ali added that traders are being provided with better facilities in compared with previous years.

“ATM services, veterin support, reduced fees, and improved infrastructure all contribute to the success and growing popularity of the livestock market”.

The inflow of sacrificial animals will continue until Eid-ul-Azha.
