OGRA announces LNG price reduction for May 2025
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced a reduction in the prices of imported LNG (liquefied natural gas) for the month of May, bringing relief to consumers. A notification has been issued confirming the new rates, which will be effective from May 1.
According to the notification, LNG prices for Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) have been reduced by 13.64%, while Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) will see a 12.51% decrease.
For Sui Southern, the price of imported LNG has been cut by $1.71 per MMBTU, setting the new rate at $10.81 per MMBTU.
For Sui Northern, the price has been reduced by $1.68 per MMBTU, with the new rate fixed at $11.59 per MMBTU.
This price cut is expected to ease the burden on consumers and industries relying on imported LNG across the country.
