HONG KONG — China’s most valuable company, Tencent Holdings, posted a much better-than-expected quarterly result on Wednesday due to strong performances of its AI-enhanced advertising and evergreen games.
In the Janu-March quarter, revenue of the Shenzhen-based company rose 13% on the year to 180.02 billion yuan ($24.9 billion), beating the average forecast of 174.63 billion yuan from analysts surveyed by LSEG.
