KUALA LUMPUR — Malaysia’s economy grew 4.4% in the Janu-March quarter from a year earlier, down from a 5% expansion in the October-December period and hitting the lowest growth rate in a year, official data released by the central bank showed Friday.

Marking the third consecutive quarter of slowing, the latest gross domestic product figures reflect a slowdown in various industries in the Southeast Asian country.
