Bangladesh Cricket team’s tour of Pakistan in doubt
LAHORE: The scheduled tour of Pakistan by the Bangladesh cricket team has come under uncertainty.
According to sources, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has not yet made a final decision on whether to send its team to Pakistan.
Sources further reveal that the board is currently in a state of indecision and internal deliberation regarding the tour, weighing various concerns before confirming participation.
Bangladesh cricket team was scheduled to arrive in Pakistan on May 21, but their tour now appears uncertain.
According to sources, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had proposed multiple options for the series to the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) in an effort to facilitate the tour.
However, the sources further revealed that the BCB has not responded to any of the proposed options, leaving the status of the series undecided and in doubt.
It is important to note that a five-match T20I series between Pakistan and Bangladesh has been scheduled, with fixtures initially announced to take place from May 25 to June 3.
However, due to the Pakistan Super League (PSL) schedule, adjustments to the series dates are expected.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has been exploring alternate options and proposed revised plans to the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), but as of now, no final confirmation has been received.
