KARACHI: More than 90,000 sacrificial animals have arrived in Asia largest Cattle-Friendly Market at Northern Bypass, Karachi.
The cattle market is bustling with activity as daily truckloads of animals arrive from Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, and Sindh, filling the marshaling area with camels, cows, bulls, calves, and premium breeds of goats.
There is growing demand for top-tier breeds, including Tapri, Gulabi(pink), Kamori, and Nachi(Dancing) goats from Rajanpur, attracting the attention of visitors and buyers from Karachi, Hyderabad, Sanghar, and Nawabshah.
Additionally, ‘Kalja Dumba’ (sheep)from Sukkur, Naushahro Feroze, Larkana, and Sargodha are generating great excitement.
To support the rising crowd, the Cattle Market administration is offering 30 liters of free water per animal daily and has slashed parking fees by 50%.
Administrator Faisal Ali stated that ATMs from Mobicash, Easypaisa, JazzCash, and several banks have been stationed inside the mandi for customer convenience.
The arrival of beautiful, high-quality animals from across Pakistan continues steadily, and the volume of transactions is increasing each day.
Adding to the festive atmosphere is the vibrant food street, which has become a highlight for visiting families.
The street offers an eclectic mix of traditional Pakistani dishes, Bar BQ, fast food, cool beverages, and even live cooking stations.
The visitors can enjoy live Bar BQ, Desi Chai(tea) corners, and folk music performances in a hygienic, secure, and family-friendly setting.
According to Administrator Faisal Ali, “Our goal is to enhance the overall experience for every individual visiting the mandi—whether they’re traders staying overnight or families visiting in the evening.
