Dr Huma Latif, daughter of journalist Abdul Latif Anwar from Khanewal, has successfully completed her graduation from the prestigious Columbia University in the United States and was awarded her degree during the official convocation ceremony.

Abdul Latif Anwar attended the ceremony along with his wife and other family members to celebrate the proud moment.

Dr Huma Latif had earlier earned her BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) from Nishtar Medical College, Multan. She later pursued further education at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, where she studied for two and a half years.

Following her graduation, she is now officially eligible to practice as a registered dental surgeon in the United States.

Notably, Huma Latif was the only Pakistani student enrolled at Columbia University’s Dental College during her time there.

Expressing his gratitude and joy, Abdul Latif Anwar said, “This moment is a blend of happiness, pride, and thankfulness for me and my family. My daughter’s achievement is not just a personal milestone, but a shining example for all daughters of Pakistan.”
