ATC extends interim bails of Aleema, Uzma Khan in Oct 5 cases

LAHORE: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) extended interim bails of Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan, sisters of the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), in the October 5 arson and vandalism cases.

ATC heard two cases related to the October 5 arson and vandalism incidents, with Judge Arshad Javed presiding over the proceedings.

The court accepted a one-day exemption from personal appearance for Imran Khan’s sisters, Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan.

The ATC also extended their interim bails until June 13, 2025. According to their lawyers, both women were appearing before a court in Faisalabad on the same day.

The court remarked that if Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan are indeed appearing before the Faisalabad court, then it is acceptable. However, it warned that if no such case exists in Faisalabad, their interim bails would be cancelled, and legal action would be taken for submitting a false plea.

Earlier, the Anti-Terrorism Court had extended the interim bails of Imran Khan’s sisters in two October 5 arson and vandalism cases until May 17.
