Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif vows to defeat terrorists, eliminate illegal activities

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif gave a strong speech at the Command and Staff College in Quetta on Saturday, where he spoke about Pakistan’s achievements at home, foreign policy goals, and the country’s strong stance in dealing with regional tensions.

He said Pakistan has very good relations with the Gulf countries and called Saudi Arabia the country’s best friend. He also praised China as a trusted partner that always supports Pakistan during difficult times. He added that friendly countries have helped Pakistan move forward and now want it to focus more on boosting trade.

Talking about the situation inside the country, the prime minister said his government is focused on economic reforms, encouraging innovation, and fighting terrorism. He said the government has handled these issues with strong determination and promised that terrorism will soon be wiped out.

He shared that the economy has shown good progress, with a 28% rise in revenue compared to last year, a successful deal with the IMF, and inflation dropping to single digits. He said the IMF deal brought economic stability, and efforts to stop smuggling and electricity theft have helped improve the economy. This, he claimed, has made life better for ordin people. He also said deep reforms are necess for long-term stability.

The prime minister mentioned new steps taken by the government to adopt blockchain and cryptocurrency technologies as part of efforts to modernize. He said Pakistan is embracing new technologies to keep up with the world.

He ended his speech by taking a strong stance against corruption, saying there will be zero tolerance and everyone will be held accountable. He added that the threats facing Pakistan today go beyond the traditional battlefield.
