Court sends murder accused of Sana Yousaf to jail on judicial remand

ISLAMABAD: The arrested suspect, Umar Hayat, has been sent to jail on a 14-day judicial remand for an identification parade in the murder case of TikToker Sana Yousaf.

The accused was presented before Duty Judicial Magistrate Ahmed Shehzad, where the text of the FIR in the Sana Yousaf murder case was read out by the duty prosecutor.

The judge expressed displeasure over the absence of the assigned case prosecutor and the district prosecutor, questioning, “Where are the prosecutors of my court?”

Duty Judge Ahmed Shehzad remarked that prosecutors usually do not appear in court, but in this high-profile case, all prosecutors have suddenly shown up. He instructed that the District Prosecutor be summoned to the courtroom.

The duty prosecutor informed the court that the designated prosecutor was currently on leave and that proceedings would move forward once the District Prosecutor arrived.

The court sent the accused Omar Hayat to jail on a 14 -day judicial remand for the identity parade.

It is to be remembered that Omar Hayat, the main accused in the murder of TikToker Sana Yusuf, was arrested and the accused confessed to the murder of TikToker star during the interrogation.
