KARACHI: Renowned actor, director, and writer Yasir Hussain has described his wife, actress Iqra Aziz, as the biggest strength in his life and home.

Speaking during his appearance on a private TV comedy show Gup Shup, Yasir opened up about various aspects of his career in film, art, and personal life.

During the conversation, he expressed regret that Pakistan is not producing biographical films on iconic national figures who have made significant contributions in sports, entertainment, politics, or social services.

He emphasized that legends such as Abdul Sattar Edhi, Sultan Rahi, Muhammad Ali, and Jahangir Khan deserve to have films made about their lives and achievements.

Yasir Hussain also advocated for a modern revival of classic Pakistani songs. He urged the families of legend musicians and singers to collaborate with contempor artists, ensuring that timeless melodies are introduced to a new audience.

Reflecting on his extensive career in theater, Hussain revealed that for his latest project, ‘Monkey Business,’ he took on the multifaceted responsibilities of scriptwriting, directing, and producing a first for him.

Shifting to his personal life, Hussain spoke glowingly of Iqra Aziz, not only as a talented actress but also as a dedicated and loving mother. He noted that Iqra prioritizes their son, even adjusting her professional commitments to ensure she can spend ample time with him.

Hussain emphasized that Iqra brings mental peace and balance to his life, allowing him to be carefree even when away from home for work. He concluded by advising men to recognize and value their wives’ crucial role, asserting that women are the true foundation of family and home.
