PM Shehbaz, UAE President discuss to strengthen bilateral relations

During his official visit to the United Arab Emirates, Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, met with the President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

In the meeting, the two leaders held detailed discussions on bilateral relations, economic cooperation, regional situations, and global affairs.

Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen the historic and brotherly relations between Pakistan and the UAE, especially agreeing to enhance cooperation in the areas of economy, trade, and development.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appreciated Emirati investment in Pakistan, stating that the UAE’s support in various development projects is playing an important role in Pakistan’s economic growth.

Regional and international issues were also discussed, particularly focusing on peace and stability in South Asia. The Prime Minister appreciated the constructive and positive role of the UAE leadership in helping reduce tensions between Pakistan and India.

Both leaders expressed satisfaction over the ongoing progress in bilateral relations and agreed to maintain close contact at all levels, continuing joint efforts for regional peace and prosperity.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also formally reiterated his invitation to the UAE President to visit Pakistan soon.

Present at this important meeting were Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, Information and Broadcasting Minister Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Syed Tariq Fatemi.
