Israel launches attack on Tabriz, Iran declares nationwide high alert
TABRIZ: Israel launched a fresh airstrike on the Iranian city of Tabriz, sparking panic among residents and prompting Iranian authorities to issue a nationwide high alert, according to Iranian media reports.
The attack came shortly after reports emerged of active air defense systems and loud explosions in the region. Radar systems detected suspicious aerial activity over Tabriz, prompting Iran’s air defense units to open fire. Residents reported hearing multiple blasts during the incident.
Although Iranian officials have not confirmed any major infrastructure damage or civilian casualties in Tabriz, the fear of further attacks has caused widespread anxiety. The city, known for its strategic importance in northwestern Iran, has become a focal point in the escalating regional tensions.
In Kermanshah, located near the Iraqi border, Israeli strikes reportedly destroyed an underground missile system. Intelligence sources suggest the targeted facility housed various types of ballistic missiles. Israeli air raids successfully demolished the storage site.
No immediate reports of casualties have been released from either location, but the situation remains tense as regional tensions continue to rise.
