LONDON — U.K. Foreign Secret David Lammy is planning to visit Beijing as soon as this week, with analysts saying that the new government is keen to reset ties with the world’s second-largest economy.
A government source told Nikkei Asia that Lammy is planning his first trip since the Labour Party came into power in July, but officials declined to provide further details. Local media have also reported that U.K. Chancellor Rachel Reeves is planning to visit Beijing early next year.
