TOKYO — Hideki Ito is set to step down as commissioner of Japan’s Financial Services Agency, Nikkei has learned.

The agency executive of the country’s top financial regulator would be replaced by Yutaka Ito, currently the director-general of the FSA’s Supervision Bureau. Shinya Ishida, the vice commissioner for strategy development and management, would become head of the Supervision Bureau.
