Before his untimely death on October 16 at the age of 31, Liam Payne faced many difficulties while living in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Three sources claim that the ex-member of One Direction was “kicked out” of the Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires for appearing intoxicated and causing disturbance to other guests.
According to Buenos Aires Security Ministry communications director Pablo Policicchio, Payne “jumped from the balcony” of his hotel room. According to a prelimin autopsy, the fall caused multiple injuries, including severe bleeding.
Coroners emphasized that “the head injuries were sufficient to cause death,” noting that 25 injuries were consistent with a fall from a height. They discovered no defensive wounds, indicating no third-party involvement, and a toxicology report is still pending.
Payne’s bandmates paid tribute to him on social media. Harry Styles expressed his devastation, stating, “His greatest joy was making other people happy, and it was an honor to be alongside him.” Niall Horan shared his sorrow, reflecting on their last meeting: “I sadly didn’t know that after saying goodbye… I would be saying goodbye forever.”
