TOKYO — India’s Tata Consultancy Services is working with multiple Japanese manufacturers to develop software powered by artificial intelligence, a senior executive said, as the Tata Group member sees a growth opportunity in Japan’s shortage of IT engineers.

Areas of cooperation include autonomous driving and factory automation, Senior Vice President Regu Ayyaswamy, who heads the company’s Internet of Things and digital engineering division, told Nikkei.
