TOKYO/HONG KONG/SINGAPORE — Asian currencies weakened and stocks were mixed on Wednesday morning on prelimin results of the U.S. presidential election, though the projected winner of the deadlocked race may not be clear for hours or even days.
Republican former President Donald Trump has won 15 states, including Indiana, Kentucky and West Virginia, while Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris has clinched victory in nine states, including Vermont, Massachusetts and Mland, according to AP news.
