US dollar rate in Pakistan on Dec 23 up by 15 paisa to Rs278.56
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistani rupee depreciated by 15 paisa against the US dollar in interbank trading on Monday, closing at Rs278.56 compared to the previous closing of Rs278.41.
As per the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the dollar’s buying and selling rates in the open market stood at Rs278.10 and Rs279.60, respectively.
The Euro appreciated by 93 paisa, closing at Rs290.18 from the prior day’s rate of Rs289.05, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
The Japanese yen remained steady at Rs1.77, while the British Pound saw a rise of Rs1.83, trading at Rs349.92 compared to the last day’s closing of Rs348.09.
Similarly, the exchange rates for the Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal also increased slightly, closing at Rs75.84 and Rs74.12, respectively, reflecting gains of 04 paisa and 05 paisa.
