LAHORE – The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) revealed the draft pick order on Monday for the upcoming season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 10), set to take place in 2025.
As per the newly announced pick order, Lahore Qalandars, the two-time champions, will have the first pick in the platinum category, closely followed by Karachi Kings, their arch-rivals. Quetta Gladiators, the 2019 champions, will pick third, while Peshawar Zalmi will go fourth.
Defending champions Islamabad United, alongside last season’s runners-up Multan Sultans, will make their selections fifth and sixth, respectively. The second round of the platinum category will follow a reverse pick sequence, with United leading, followed by Sultans, Zalmi, Gladiators, Kings, and Qalandars.
Each of the six franchises will have three picks across the platinum, diamond, and gold categories. In the diamond category, Kings will start the first round, Sultans will open the second, and United will lead the third. For the gold category, Zalmi, Gladiators, and Sultans will have the first pick in each of the three rounds.
Furthermore, each team will make five picks in the silver category, two in the emerging category, and four in the supplement category.
The highly awaited PSL 10 player draft will take place on Janu 11, 2025, in Gwadar, Balochistan. The registration window for overseas players to submit their availability has already opened, and the relegation and retention process for players will conclude by the end of December.
