CJP Yahya Afridi calls for giving respect to all religions
Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Yahya Afridi underscored the importance of respecting all religions while addressing a ceremony at the Supreme Court on Monday in connection with Christmas celebrations.
During the event, CJP Afridi joined Christian staff members in cutting a cake. A large number of Christian staff attended the ceremony, where the chief justice highlighted the need for unity and interfaith harmony. He also praised the contributions of Christian staff to the justice system.
The ceremony was attended by the Supreme Court registrar and office-bearers of the Supreme Court Bar Association.
Separately, CJP Yahya Afridi recently announced plans to visit remote areas of the country to ensure timely justice and improve district judici performance.
In a meeting held in Gwadar on judicial reforms, it was decided that the chief justice would personally oversee efforts to enhance judicial efficiency in far-flung regions. During his visit to Balochistan, CJP Afridi met with district and session judges from Turbat, Chagai, and Panjgur to discuss ways to strengthen the judicial system.
