HONG KONG — s expect China’s annual gross domestic product growth to slow to 4.4% in 2025, as threats of tariffs by the U.S. President-elect Donald Trump and property turmoil weigh on domestic consumption.
The GDP forecast for 2025 by 27 analysts was revised to 4.4%, down by 0.1 percentage points in September. Projection for 2026 also reflects a downward trend with an expected growth of 4.1%, according to the latest survey conducted by Nikkei Asia.
