KUALA LUMPUR — Malaysia and Japan will strengthen cooperation on energy security, with a focus on natural gas and hydrogen projects, as the two nations deepen economic ties to address shared challenges.

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim hosted a bilateral meeting on Friday with his Japanese counterpart, Shigeru Ishiba, in Putrajaya. Ishiba is on a 4-day trip to Southeast Asia.
