SEOUL — South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol said that he complied with a warrant for his arrest on Wednesday to prevent “bloodshed” but dismissed the investigation into him as “illegal.”

Investigators from the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials (CIO) and the police arrested Yoon at his official residence in central Seoul on Wednesday before questioning him at the CIO’s office in Gwacheon, south of the capital.
