In an exclusive interview, Iran’s president discussed a possible deal to end the war in Gaza and release the hostages, and an alleged plot to assassinate Donald Trump. President Masoud Pezeshkian said Iran never plotted to kill Trump. The interview was conducted with a government interpreter translating in real time, and NBC News reviewed the translation independently. NBC News’ Lester Holt reports.
