OSAKA — Japanese tractor manufacturer Kubota, facing a second year of declining profit, plans to trim costs and limit hiring in its North American operation that had been built up to tap pandemic-era demand.

“We’ll definitely achieve profit growth in the December 2026 fiscal year,” Kubota President Yuichi Kitao said in an interview.
