Mild earthquake jolts in Quetta, surrounding areas
QUETTA: The earthquake tremors were felt in Quetta, the capital of the Balochistan province, which caused panic among the people.

National Seismic Monitoring Centre, Islamabad, said the magnitude of the earthquake was recorded 3.7 while the depth was 12 km, while the epicenter was about 90 km west of Quetta.
Due to the earthquake, people came out of their homes in the wake of Kalima Tayyaba, but no casualties or financial losses were currently reported.
Earlier, earthquake tremors were felt in different parts of Pakistan, the magnitude of the earthquake was recorded at 4.1 on the Richter scale, while its center was located in the Koh Hindu Kush area of Afghanistan, which was 60 km deep.
Experts say the Hindu Kush region is dynamic in terms of earthquake, and that minor earthquake earthquakes are common due to tectonic movement in the area, authorities are monitoring the situation, though no aftershocks have been reported so far.

Earthquake tremors were felt in Rawalpindi, Attock, Chiniot, Chakwal, Islamabad and surrounding areas in Punjab.
Similarly, moderate earthquake struck parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, causing tremors that were felt in Peshawar and nearby regions.
