Islamabad: Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, while addressing the first Overseas Pakistani Convention in Islamabad, praised the contributions of overseas Pakistanis, calling them “the bright face of the nation.”
He emphasized that Pakistan does not suffer from a brain drain but rather enjoys a “brain gain,” thanks to the expertise and excellence of Pakistanis living abroad.
The Army Chief expressed deep admiration for the patriotism of the diaspora, noting that overseas Pakistanis are not only ambassadors of the country but also a source of global pride. He encouraged them to stay rooted in their identity and heritage, emphasizing that Pakistan’s foundation is based on a powerful ideology and rich civilization that must be passed down to future generations.
