RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Barrister Gohar Ali Khan and Salman Akram Raja have been released following their brief detention by the Rawalpindi police on Saturday.
According to the PTI, Gohar and Salman were travelling to Rawalpindi when the police stopped their vehicle near Sector H-13 and took them into custody.
The former ruling party claimed that the law enforcers took both the chairman and the secretary general in a van.
The development comes as the Imran Khan-founded party announced protest in Rawalpindi today. PTI initially planned to hold a rally which was later turned into a demonstration.
