TOKYO — Japanese medical device manufacturers are showing resilience to U.S. tariff threats thanks to their specialized manufacturing expertise, focus on niche markets and pricing power.
Leading manufacturers such as Terumo and Olympus, both based in Tokyo, are expected to pass on at least some of the tariff costs to U.S. customers.
