ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Olympic gold medalist javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem, along with Yasir Sultan, has qualified for the final of the Asian Athletics Championship.
In the qualifying round of Group A of the javelin throw event held in South Korea, Arshad Nadeem registered an impressive throw of 86.34 meters on his very first attempt.
Meanwhile, Indian athlete Yash managed a throw of 76.67 meters in his first attempt. With the longest throw of the qualifying round at 86.34 meters, Arshad Nadeem secured his place in the final of the Asian Athletics Championship.
Following Arshad Nadeem, Pakistan’s Yasir Sultan has also secured a spot in the final.
Yasir Sultan qualified for the final of the Asian Athletics Championship with a throw of 76.07 meters on his very first attempt.
It is worth mentioning that the javelin throw final of the Asian Athletics Championship will be held tomorrow.
