QUETTA: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif arrived in Quetta today for a one-day visit, where he’ll attend an important jirga focused on the peace and security situation in Balochistan.
Upon his arrival at Quetta Airport, the Prime Minister was welcomed by Acting Governor of Balochistan Abdul Khaliq Achakzai, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, and other top officials. This visit highlights the government’s focus on the province’s stability.
Sources say PM Shehbaz Sharif is set to participate in a crucial jirga taking place in Quetta today. This significant gathering has brought together tribal and political leaders from all corners of Balochistan.
The jirga will include the Prime Minister, along with the Governor, Chief Minister, provincial ministers, and Members of the Provincial Assembly. They’ll be discussing the overall law and order situation in Balochistan in detail. During this special meeting, the province’s elders will be briefed and consulted on various important matters. In addition, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif plans to visit those injured in the recent Sorang blast to check on their recovery.
