Pakistan’s petroleum imports saw a 4 percent increase in September 2024, reaching $1.388 billion, compared to $1.331 billion in the same month last year, as reported by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
Despite this year-over-year rise, petroleum imports dropped by 1 percent on a month-to-month basis, down from $1.398 billion in August 2024.
For the first quarter of FY25, petroleum imports totaled $4.053 billion, marking a significant 15.7 percent increase compared to $3.502 billion during the same period in the previous fiscal year.
