ISLAMABAD, 17th October, 2024 (WAM) — Two innovative Pakistani startups have been selected to join Google’s inaugural AI Academy in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, among 23 chosen from across the area, (APP) reported.

The program, aimed at refining AI solutions and advancing business growth, began with a three-day boot camp in Singapore, gathering founders from Pakistan, Korea, Japan, India, Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia.

Participating startups will benefit from over 170 hours of tailored mentorship from AI and Cloud experts, receive up to US$350,000 in Google Cloud credits, and connect with fellow innovators across the APAC region.

Pakistani startup AdalFi is enhancing financial inclusivity through its AI-powered credit scoring system, while Adlytic AI is transforming retail analytics by turning CCTV cameras into intelligent tools to leverage visual and geospatial data for business growth.

Michael Kim, Head of Google for Startups, APAC, expressed enthusiasm for the program, highlighting the potential of AI to address significant challenges in sectors like financial services and healthcare. The AI Academy will conclude in December with a Graduation Day, where startups will present their refined AI solutions to investors and industry leaders.
