Man murders four women in name of honor
In a tragic incident, a man killed four female relatives, including his mother and sister, in the name of “honor” in Karachi.
The suspect, identified as Bilal, was arrested and charged after four women were found dead in a flat near Lea Market.
During police interrogation, Bilal confessed to the murders, admitting that he killed his mother, divorced sister, niece, and sister-in-law over suspicions of “honor” related to alleged extramarital affairs.
Bilal had returned from Umrah two weeks prior. Police revealed that his actions were driven by suspicions and ongoing family disputes, noting that he had previously divorced his wife. A case has been registered against Bilal, and further investigations are underway.
In a separate incident earlier, a man in Faisalabad set his wife on fire, also in the name of “honor.” The incident occurred in the Raza Abad area, where the suspect, Naveed, torched his wife, Sanober, while she was in the kitchen. Naveed was later arrested at Hospital, where he had taken Sanober after the attack.
Sanober sustained burns on more than 60 percent of her body. Her daughter, Fatima, told the media that Naveed had a history of physically abusing her mother.
