TOKYO — Argentina would support an economic partnership agreement between the South American trade bloc Mercosur and Japan, an official at the Economy Ministry said, touting the South American country as an investment destination for energy and other industries.
“Japan is one of the biggest markets in the world,” Juan Pazo, secret for production coordination of Argentina’s Ministry of Economy, said in an interview, adding that a trade deal “would help Japanese companies to have stronger investments in the country and the region.”
