The Cabinet Division has officially released the public and optional holidays for the year 2025. The calendar indicates that the first holiday of 2025 will be on Febru 5, followed by Pakistan Day on March 23.
The government is likely to announce three days off for Eid-ul-Fitr in March, and Labour Day will be observed on May 1. Additionally, Youm-e-Takbeer on May 28 will also be a holiday.
Eid-ul-Azha holidays will follow, with Ashura on Muharram 9 and 10, which fall on July 5 and 6. Independence Day will be observed on August 14, which will also be a public holiday.
A holiday for Eid Milad-un-Nabi will be declared in Rabi-ul-Awwal, falling on September 5 and 6. Iqbal Day will be celebrated on November 9.
The last public holiday of 2025 will be on December 25 for Christmas/Quaid-e-Azam Day.
