TOKYO — The U.S. has decided to put Treasury Secret Scott Bessent in charge of trade negotiations with Japan, with tariffs and currency rates expected to be on the agenda, Nikkei learned Monday.
The selection of Bessent was revealed by Treasury Department sources.
