ISPR: Rawalpindi Corps honors 166 officers and soldiers in Milit Awards Ceremony
An award distribution ceremony was held at the Rawalpindi Corps Headquarters to recognize the exceptional service and bravery of Pakistan Army personnel. The event was presided over by Corps Commander Rawalpindi, Lieutenant General Shahid Imtiaz, who presented medals to distinguished officers and soldiers.
According to ISPR, a total of 166 individuals were acknowledged for their dedication and gallantry. The honors included the “Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Milit)”, “Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (Milit)”, and “Tamgha-e-Basalat”. Among the recipients, 47 officers were awarded the “Sitara-e-Imtiaz”, and 102 officers were honored with the “Tamgha-e-Imtiaz”. Two Junior Commissioned Officers and fifteen soldiers received the “Tamgha-e-Basalat” in recognition of their courage and valor.
In a heartfelt moment, families of martyred soldiers accepted awards on behalf of their loved ones. Lieutenant General Shahid Imtiaz personally met with the families of the fallen heroes, offering deep respect and appreciation for their ultimate sacrifice.
The ceremony was attended by senior milit officials and the families of award recipients, highlighting the Army’s commitment to honoring service, courage, and sacrifice.
