NEW YORK — U.S. President Donald Trump’s easing of automobile tariffs is expected to create more headwinds for import-reliant Mazda Motor and Mitsubishi Motors but help Honda Motor, which locally builds most of its autos for the American market.

Under an executive order signed Tuesday, imported auto parts are partially exempt from the tariffs if used to manufacture finished vehicles in the U.S.
